Two SD Agencies share their bill tracking services with the public and refresh their updates on status of bills of concern periodically -- you can download bill tracking summaries of  SD Department of Energy and Natural Resources (DENR)  and SD Game Fish and Parks (GFP). Find out which bills the Agencies staff think are of concern and are following

LEGISLATIVE RESEARCH CENTER

You can go to -  http://legis.sd.gov/My_LRC/index.aspx, the states bill tracking service. You set up an account with a user name & password.  You then can identify committees  of concern & be mailed minutes & agendas.
You can create folders & place your bills of concern in them & the LRC will notify you of pending & past actions on your bills of concern.

South Dakota Camo-Coalition, (an affiliate of the SD Wildlife Federation)  provides daily updates on-line about the bills they are tracking. They have two lobbyist who work to protect wildlife, conservation and outdoor recreation  in SD. They have a day at the legislature, Feb 10th, when attempt to bring in supporters/members to lobby. Thanks to SDWF for years of dedicated work in the SD legislature and offering this free service to SD public.  You can view this information on line at:

South Dakota's  Dakota Rural Action has a lobbyist  (Sabrina King) and they provide weekly legislative updates by e-mail and alerts to members of DRA. Some of info may be available on their blog.  Much, but not all, of their legislative concern relate to environmental issues.  For more information:

SD Humane Society Of The US has 2 contract lobbyists this years & some of the bills they are following will effect wildlife including, mountain lion hunting with hounds. They have a day at the legislature - Feb 6th, when  attempt to bring in supporters/members to lobby.  Their social networking site: www.facebook.com/HSUSSouthDakota is the best place to track their bills of concern or email SD State Director Darci Adams dadams@humanesociety.org to be added to their email alert list.

Other environmental/conservation groups with part time lobbyists in Pierre,  who may not have web site presence with legislative info, but may send out e-mail alerts

SD Chapter of Sierra Club  - http://southdakota.sierraclub.org/issues.htm, has a part time lobbyist and will send out a weekly summary & alerts to those who ask for it  - vikki fix <vikkifix@q.com>

SD Division of the Izaak Walton League of America   - https://sites.google.com/site/southdakotadivision/
Paul Lepisto <PLepisto@iwla.org> is their part time lobbyist, Paul will be sending out alerts to Division members, Paul will add people to distribution list on request.
